TEMPTATIONS - " PAPA WAS A ROLLING STONE "

Para bajar un poco la tensión producida por un nuevo acto criminal de los de siempre, música, la música, sea en el estilo que sea, siempre es buena terápia.

En este caso me salgo un poco de mi estilo, me lo ha recordado algo que he escuchado en el blog de Elle.

Aunque este grupo, THE TEMPTATIONS fué quizás el que llevó el liderazgo de este tipo de música, una fusión entre el blues, jazz, soul y rytm' blues, incluso con alguna incursión en la psicodélia, de lo mejorcito de la Motown, a mi el tema que mas me ha atraido siempre es este, ya metidos en los 70's. Un tema con un sonido un tanto inquietante, que se ha usado, porque cuadra perfectamente, en películas de aquella misma época sobre la vida en el Bronx de Nueva York, con el tema de los yonkys y el tráfico de Heroina y esos sordidos parajes de dicho barrio, con edificios en ruinas, la gente calentandose en improvisadas hogueras callejeras, etc..

Es el tema estrella de su album "ANTHOLOGY" (1.972), un doble L.P., bueno, lo es para mi, muy recomendable, algo largo, pero realmente fantástico y con una letra realmente dura y sus siempre famosos juegos de voces.
